Nova is one of the largest telecommunications and information technology companies in Greece. Since our launch in 1992, until today, we have continuously invested in technology, providing complete IT, integration, data management, mobile, fixed, internet and TV solutions to our customers.
Using state-of-the-art technologies and taking full advantage of its know-how, Nova offers a wide range of Telecommunications, Data Center/Cloud and wider ICT solutions to Businesses and Public Bodies throughout Greece. Nova’s primary goal is to constantly be next to its corporate clients and to develop solutions that completely cover their every need (tailor made solutions). For this reason, on the one hand, constantly invests in new technologies and infrastructures, on the other hand, it has a fully qualified team of engineers who analyze the infrastructures and needs of each customer individually, designing and offering specialized solutions especially for them.
What is your organisation’s role in the project? What unique contribution does it bring to the team?
Nova will lead the task aimed at identifying and defining a standardisation plan, to be able to smoothly convey the results of the project – especially in terms of KVIs and KPIs – into the “6G standardisation kick off” phase, planned by SNS for 2026.
This activity will contribute to SNS JU objective of conceiving and developing a European value-based approach to 6G based on European KVIs and KPIs, and promote it through the 6G global standard-setting process.
Nova will identify standardisation working groups (WGs) which the project will participate in, and contribute, therefore enabling experts’ judgement and knowledge acquisition on specific topics (e.g. trustworthy AI and assessment frameworks).
How do you think the 6G4Society will contribute to European society?
The mission of 6G4Society is to involve key stakeholders from the Smart Networks and Services ecosystem, alongside representatives from civil society, regulatory bodies, policymakers, media outlets, and the general public, to ensure accurate and transparent dissemination of information regarding the anticipated effects of 6G technology. The project’s objective is to offer a multifaceted and harmonious approach to upcoming technological advancements, integrating principles from ethics, law, social sciences, and humanities. Its goal is to furnish techniques, frameworks, directives, policy alternatives, and practical suggestions for cultivating a sustainable and widely embraced 6G technology and its applications. We believe that the project will ensure 6G and associated services will promote community inclusiveness, fairness, democracy, and will reduce discrimination.
