What is your organisation’s role in the project? What unique contribution does it bring to the team?
eBOS’ is leading the communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities of the project, with an emphasis on sustainability and impact maximisation. It aims to set up a continuous market and research watch, and a techno-business-societal assessment of the opportunities for the 6G4Society portfolio, as well as ensuring the future exploitation and deployment of the project results. eBOS also leads the quality and risk management activities, by providing ongoing mitigation strategies and planning. In addition to those project activities, eBOS aims to participate in consumer associations and other events to promote the project, as well as contribute to synergy planning with 6G Coordination and Support Actions (CSAs), and support the coordination with 6G initiatives towards Technology Acceptance Model, and a Common Key Sustainability Indicators Framework.
How do you think the 6G4Society will contribute to European society?
The 6G4Society project aims to bridge the gap between technological advancement and societal values in Europe. By engaging stakeholders across the Smart Networks and Services (SNS) ecosystem, including civil society, regulators, and policymakers, the project will ensure that 6G technology is developed and deployed in a manner that aligns with ethical principles and societal needs. Through methodologies from ethics, legal, and social sciences, 6G4Society will promote responsible research and innovation, providing guidance and recommendations for policymakers, and industry stakeholders. In addition, by engaging with the general public, 6G4Society aims to ensure that 6G serves the needs of all citizens effectively. Therefore, the project’s focus on embedding societal and sustainable values into technology will foster inclusivity and equity, promoting social cohesion and well-being. Ultimately, 6G4Society will contribute to the advancement of telecommunications in Europe, facilitating collaboration and dialogue while ensuring that 6G technology benefits all segments of society.
