SUMMARY:6G4Society & Hexa-X-II Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Ensuring 6G Social Acceptance\nCommunication networks are the backbone of our connected society. Reliable\, secure and inclusive connectivity is indispensable to access many essential services\, and this is why a multistakeholder approach is at the centre of the way next generation Smart Networks and Services (SNS) are being designed and will be engineered and managed. \nSeveral SNS JU projects are already working to ensure that societal\, environmental and economic values are embedded by design into the development of 6G\, bringing a sustainability and societal perspective to technological development. Two of these projects are Hexa-X-II and 6G4Society\, who are organising a joint webinar. \nThis webinar has the twofold objective of: \n\nReporting the work done so far by the 6G4Society and the Hexa-X-II SNS JU projects\, specifically on how to integrate social acceptance into the development of 6G and how to ensure societal and environmental values are integrated by design. \nAnimating discussions and gathering feedback within the SNS JU community and beyond on the main challenges and priorities to ensure 6G social acceptance.\n\nWhen? 6 November 09:30-11:30 CET \nWhere? On Zoom\, sign up on Tito to add this webinar directly into your calendar and receive a reminder before the event! \nProgramme \n\nWelcome and introduction to the webinar – Monique Calisti (Martel Innovate)\n6G Societal Acceptance and Sustainability – Chiara Mazzone (SNS JU Office) and Pavlos Fournourakis (SNS JU Office)\nIntroduction to the 6G4Society and Hexa-X-II projects – Eva Hajdok (Martel Innovate) and Mikko Uusitalo (Nokia)  \nBuilding a Social Acceptance Model for 6G – Margot Bezzi (CyberEthics Lab.)\n\n\nAnalysis of previous surveys on 5G – Maurizio Cecchi (Institute P.I.I.U.) and Ishita Mishra (Institute P.I.I.U.)\nPreliminary results from 6G4Society Citizen Survey – Flavia Maragno (Digital for Planet) \n\n\nFeedback from local Public Administrations – Louise Renoux (ORANGE)\n\n\nOpen discussion – Q&A session \nWrap-up and next appointments\n\n  \nSign up for the webinar here!

SUMMARY:SNS ICE / GUIDE: Automotive\, Transport & Logistics Solutions Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The EU has set forth a clear and ambitious action plan to enable Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) across Europe and especially across the designated Pan-European Transport Corridors\, with 5G and B5G/6G technologies acting as the main connectivity technology. To enable this plan\, a comprehensive roadmap of Research and Innovation (R&I) and Deployment activities has been set forth and is being implemented over the past few years. Starting from research projects enabled by 5G PPP\, focusing on European Cross-Border Corridors\, which also led to significant deployment efforts across Europe funded by the CEF programme\, the same effort is now extended to investigate the potential and advantages that B5G and 6G technologies may offer to CAM\, via the SNS JU programme\, as newly funded projects are addressing the latest CAM challenges using B5G/6G. \nThis webinar will focus on presenting the currently ongoing CAM related activities from the SNS JU projects and the CEF programme (via the GUIDE project)\, as well as to offer the perspective and priorities of key automotive stakeholders. Experts from the SNS JU\, CEF\, 5GAA and Ertico will share their views and discuss today’s mobility challenges and how the new smart networks and services may help address them. The SNS JU projects will offer insights regarding their ongoing work (what solutions they are working on\, key challenges\, insights\, results from tests/trials\, etc.) and discuss the roadmap to the deployment of such solutions (via CEF) and their applicability to the real world. \nThe overall goal of this webinar\, is to spread awareness on the work carried out within the SNS JU projects and CEF initiative\, to exchange ideas with external CAM experts and to explore synergies with automotive and mobility experts around the world. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nRegistration Link

SUMMARY:6G IA new Vision Paper webinar
DESCRIPTION:he 6G IA Vision Working Group are pleased to present their\nWhite Paper on The EUROPEAN VISION For The 6G NETWORK ECOSYSTEM\nin a Webinar to be held on the 25.11.24 at 16:00 CET  . \n  \nThis white paper highlights the importance of creating a unified 6G vision\, driven by key stakeholders worldwide\, towards a single global consensus. Specifically\, the European perspective\, as represented by the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA)\, is emphasized\, showcasing Europe’s proactive role in 6G research\, development (R&D) and standardisation\, also addressing societal\, environmental\, economic and market challenges. The paper captures the ongoing global efforts to develop and standardise 6G networks and have them ready for a commercial launch around 2030. \nIn the paper\, and summarised in the webinar\, the 6G IA Vision Group outlines the technological advancements anticipated in 6G\, such as native artificial intelligence (AI) support\, integrated sensing and communications (ISAC)\, and advanced cybersecurity. 6G systems themselves need to be sustainable. We also need 6G for sustainability\, i.e. to\, via 6G\, enhance sustainability across various industries\, including media\, transportation\, and healthcare. \nThe paper also provides an updated vision on the forthcoming 6G architecture\, focusing on potential innovations and addressing current 5G limitations. We identify fundamental challenges in 5G that hinder efficient global operations and outline potential architectural innovations for 6G to overcome these challenges. These innovations aim to create a robust\, flexible\, and sustainable network architecture capable of supporting next-generation applications and services. \nThis event is open to all Interested Stakeholders. \nRegistration:\nTo register for this event please go to the event page on the 6G IA website: https://6g-ia.eu/event/6g-ia-new-vision-paper-webinar/
