New report explores how SNS JU projects are integrating societal values into 6G development
6G4Society has published its SNS Survey Report 2024–2025, based on two survey rounds conducted across the SNS JU project community. The report gathers insights from 63 projects to understand how Key Value Indicators (KVIs) and social acceptance are being addressed in the early stages of 6G innovation.
Findings show that while many projects are actively working to reduce adoption barriers, there’s still room to expand the conversation to broader societal values such as fairness, trust, and legitimacy. Similarly, while projects are engaging with KVIs, challenges remain in defining, prioritising, and measuring them—particularly when value-based goals intersect with technical and cost constraints.
These insights will directly inform 6G4Society’s work moving forward, as the project continues to co-develop tools, models, and collaborative activities that strengthen the societal dimension of 6G.
