The 6G4Society consortium discusses the first months of project implementation and aligns on future activities

At the end of its fifth month of operations, the 6G4Society consortium partners met up in Rome as well as online for the General Assembly to review what has been implemented so far, what can be learned and how this can be reflected in the planning of the next 1,5 years of the project.

On day 1 (29 May 2024), the main goal was for each partner to present what activities were implemented since January 2024, what challenges have been encountered and what are the open questions. The 6G4Society Project Officer Chiara Mazzone, SNS JU, also joined the partners online and gave some guidance on the presented items and aligned with the consortium on how the JU can support the project and vice versa.

Day 2 was dedicated to discussing how the consortium partners can deepen their synergies, how the lessons learned can be reflected in the planned activities and what needs to be adapted and how.

The main activities that will be the focus of the next six months include gathering relevant data through the Citizen Survey, continuing the research on what aspects are influencing public acceptance of 6G technologies, strengthening ties with the SNS JU ecosystem stakeholders, engaging with citizens throughout Europe through active participation in relevant events and sharing our progress on our social media channels.

After insightful discussions and strong aligning efforts, we have come out of this General Assembly more inspired than ever and are very excited to continue working as a highly synergised consortium.
